Each year has 365 days or 12 months. And its easy to say we have a whole year to do something. We have more than enough time to do X.
But the truth is, time is so scarce that we don’t have much time to do that activity. Because, we don’t even get 12 months in a year.
And you’d think no thats bullshit how does that even make sense?
And thats a good question.
So hear me out - we have 24 hours in a day. But within those 24 hours in a day we spend 6 hours or more on our phone (check your screen time rn) and let’s also say we spend 6-7 hours of sleep every night.
For the sake of the argument we will say its 6 hours on the phone and 6 hours of sleep.
That means we’re actually getting 12 hours a day to actually do something.
Now, if we multiply 12 by 30 its 360 hours a month.
360×12 = 4320 hours.
To simply put that’s about 6 months already gone just for phone time and sleep.
And i even haven’t added the time we spend on leisure or food. Those hours added and accumulated would kill more months from your calendar year.
So, if you don’t feel like you have time to do anything, you’re right because you don’t. And theres no difference between you and Elon Musk because both of you have 24 hours a day, its a constant that wont change.
Its not the time thats the issue, it what you spend that time on.
Because if you’re not so happy or feel fulfilled by the things you do then the time you spent is net negative because you’re spending time on the wrong things.
And when i put myself into this test personally i was scared of how much time i was wasting. And i wont lie im still not perfect and i still am a victim to this.
But realizing this made me have sense of urgency to actually remove alot of the waste that was in my life.
I deleted my TikTok account, I don’t use instagram, I don’t have snapchat, i don’t have youtube app on my phone, i don’t have Netflix app on my phone. And I’ve cleared out so much that my home screen looks like this.

Super minimal, and only apps that I use everyday.
This left me no room to procrastinate. And helped me find meaningful goals that i can work towards everyday.
And i realized that very moment that time in fact can make you, or break you.
