“We are afraid of losing what we have, whether it’s our life or our possessions and property. But this fear evaporates when we understand that our life stories and the history of the world were written by the same hand.” - The Alchemist

If you’re like any other human being, you have desires. You have things and possessions that you want and desire.

And almost all the time, you strive to be a better version of yourself.

That’s what keeps us going, that’s what helps us wakeup each day - so that we use that 24 hours within that day to be a bit closer to that improvement.

We’re are so drawn into this rabbit hole of improvement that we fail to forget to be in the present moment. And that’s exactly what i experienced.

I was worried about the future, on hitting my goals that i failed to love the process. To love the simple act of being present.

Neglecting family, friends- the relationships that keeps my limbic system in tact.

I forgot to be grateful because when i look back, all i see is how much of progress I’ve really made.

What i really want to say is that, this desire itself we have is a blessing. It’s in our guts and heart for a reason. And that was placed to us by someone even greater. The greatest of all heavens and earth.

And when its written, it cannot go out of place, you will get what was written.

Thats what Maktub means, that it is “written” .

Isn’t it beautiful that when you want something, when you truly actually want something - the whole universe conspires in helping you find it.

For example this very read here, might be one of those cues. To help in you in a path that’s more fulfilling.

Don’t let the goals stress you out from pushing yourself to the limit. Because what ever is written for you, will come to you.

This does not mean not work towards your goals at all, the very reason why you have the desire to move towards your goal is a calling in itself.
